2nd IWH-FIN-FIRE Workshop on “Challenges to Financial Stability”

The Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) – Member of the Leibniz Association and the FIRE research centre at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management were organising a joint Workshop on "Challenges to Financial Stability" on September 8th and 9th, 2016, held in Halle (Saale).
The workshop provided a platform to discuss changes in the regulatory framework of the financial sector, their impact on financial stability, and consequences for the real sector.
We invited theoretical and empirical contributions on topics including:
- systemic risk measurement
- regulation, firms and financial intermediation
- law, politics and finance
- incentives and leverage of firms and households
- unconventional monetary policy and bank behaviour
- consequences of crisis in transition economies
- coordination of supervision and regulation

Abstract
Anknüpfend an den ersten gelungenen IWH-FIN-FIRE Workshop im Jahr 2015 fand am 8. und 9. September 2016 in den Räumen des IWH in Halle (Saale) zum zweiten Mal der vom IWH sowie dem „FIRE“ Research Center der Frankfurt School of Finance & Management gemeinschaftlich organisierte Workshop statt.
