Development in Task Space

This paper studies the relation between growth and task specialization in trade. We measure the task content of exports using world input-output tables for sixty-two advanced and developing countries from 2000 to 2018.

Personal details

Marcel Timmer is Professor in Economics at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and director of the Groningen Growth and Development Centre (GGDC). Since September 2019 he is also Deputy-Director of the CPB Netherlands Bureau of Economic Policy Analysis.
