Tankred Schuhmann is Head of Administration of the IWH since February 2012.
He studied law at the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald. Having received a postgraduate state grant, he then continued his professional education with doctoral studies, which he successfully completed in 2002. Afterwards, Tankred Schuhmann completed his legal traineeship and joined a legal publishing house as managing editor. He worked at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) as legal adviser heading the institute’s working group on technology transfer and legal matters since 2006.
