Are Lacking Structural Reforms in the Financial Sector the Underlying Reason for the German Criticism of the ECB?
The major reason for the intense criticism of the European Central Bank’s (ECB’s) low-interest-rate policy may be the lack of structural reforms in the German banking system. The resulting persistent fragmentation increases the banking sector’s vulnerability to the low-interest-rate environment. Hence, parts of the banking sector, due to their strong ties to politicians, appear to have successfully influenced public opinion against the ECB.

RegDemo: Preparation and Merger of Actor Data – Technical Documentation of Routines and Datasets
Wilfried Ehrenfeld
IWH Technical Reports,
No. 1,
2015
Abstract

Reint E. Gropp
Wirtschaft im Wandel,
No. 1,
2015
Abstract

4th Halle Forum on Urban Economic Growth: „The Development of Cities in Central and Eastern Europe“
Albrecht Kauffmann
Wirtschaft im Wandel,
No. 2,
2013
Abstract
The Economic Re-positioning of Post-socialist Cities (RePoCit) – Institutional Settings, Local Strategies and Urban Economic Growth“.

Die Europäische Schulden- und Vertrauenskrise: Ursachen, Politikmaßnahmen, Aussichten
Oliver Holtemöller, Tobias Knedlik, Axel Lindner
IWH Online,
No. 3,
2013
Abstract

Macroeconomic Imbalances as Indicators for Debt Crises in Europe
Tobias Knedlik, Gregor von Schweinitz
Wirtschaft im Wandel,
No. 10,
2011
Abstract

No. 4,
2011
Abstract
The Empirics of Imbalances and Disequilibria“

Alexander Kubis
D. Gregosz (Hrsg.), Wo steht Ostdeutschland in zehn Jahren? Zukunftsperspektiven der „Jungen Länder”,
2010
Abstract

Marina Grusevaja
Schriften des IWH,
No. 31,
2010
