Abstract
Im Zusammenhang mit der wettbewerblichen Öffnung des europäischen Elektrizitätsmarktes ist die Zukunft der Förderung erneuerbarer Energieträger erneut auf die energiepolitische Agenda gelangt. Einerseits wird von der Nutzung erneuerbarer Energieträger ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Verminderung der energiebedingten Treibhausgasemissionen und zur Absicherung der zukünftigen Energieversorgung erwartet. Daher hat ein großer Teil der EU-Mitgliedsländer bereits frühzeitig nationale Programme zur Förderung erneuerbarer Energien aufgelegt. Auch in Deutschland unternehmen Bund und Länder mit vergleichsweise großem Erfolg verschiedene Fördermaßnahmen zur Überwindung der bestehenden Marktbarrieren.

Abstract
Mit Hilfe der Input-Output-Rechnung wird der Importgehalt des privaten Konsums für Deutschland ermittelt. Neben den Direktimporten von Konsumgütern wird ein beachtlicher Teil an importierten Vorleistung für den privaten Konsum benötigt. Letztlich fließt rund ein Viertel der Nachfrage der privaten Haushalte in Waren und Dienstleistungen, deren Produktionsstätten nicht in Deutschland liegen.

Abstract
Im internationalen Vergleich sind für die absehbare Zukunft kaum Mengenrestriktionen für die Trinkwasserversorgung in Deutschland gegeben, zumal der Wasserverbrauch durch Wassersparen und veränderteres Konsumverhalten seit Jahren abnimmt. Gleich-wohl hat sich die Qualität des Grundwassers, das hauptsächlich für die Trinkwasserpro-duktion genutzt wird, spürbar verschlechtert. Im Hinblick auf die Vermeidung zusätzli-cher Kosten für die Aufbereitung verschmutzten Grundwassers ist vor allem ein wirk-samer Grundwasserschutz in der Landwirtschaft erforderlich.

Abstract
Der Aufsatz analysiert und prognostiziert die konjunkturelle Entwicklung in Deutschland und im Euroraum in ausführlicher Form für das laufende Jahr 1998 und das Folgejahr 1999. Die Impulse aus dem Ausland bleiben im Prognosezeitraum kräftig, auch wenn sie infolge der negativen Auswirkungen, die direkt und indirekt auf den deutschen Export von der Ausbreitung des Krisenherdes in Asien ausgehen, an Stärke verlieren. Die Binnenkonjunktur wird 1998 als Antriebskraft der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Produktion gegenüber der Auslandsnachfrage an Bedeutung gewinnen und im Jahr 1999 in etwa mit ihr gleichziehen. In Ostdeutschland wird dabei die Schwächephase langsam überwunden, so dass im Jahr 1999 hinsichtlich der Wachstumsdynamik fast wieder zu Westdeutschland aufgeschlossen werden kann. Die Kräftigung des konjunkturellen Aufschwungs zeigt auch erste Spuren am Arbeitsmarkt, vor allem in Westdeutschland.

Abstract
An Hand von Managementregeln nachhaltiger Ressourcennutzung werden Umwelt-schutzinvestitionen gruppiert. Mit dieser Klassifikation wird untersucht, wie sich Um-fang und Struktur der Nachfrage von Förderkrediten für nachhaltigkeitsrelevante (vor-sorgende) Umweltschutzinvestitionen in der gewerblichen Wirtschaft Deutschlands entwickelt haben. Der Kreditnachfrage zufolge nahmen die Investitionsaktivitäten in nachhaltigkeitsrelevanten Feldern zu.
