Dana Urban-Thielicke is research coordinator at the IWH since 2015. She is one of the speakers of the Europe Working Group of the Leibniz Association since 2020.
She studied political science at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the University of Cape Town, South Africa. After graduation, she worked as a research associate at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH), Department of Structural Change, from 2009 until 2010. Until 2015, Dana Urban-Thielicke worked as a research consultant at the EU academic network of Saxony-Anhalt, where she advised researchers and administrations of the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences and the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle concerning European research funding, esp. 7th Framework programme and Horizon 2020.
